The event will commence on Thursday, July 31, with a networking reception and dinner, offering guests the opportunity to connect with industry peers and cultivate meaningful professional relationships.
On Friday, August 1, attendees will be transported to a private test track facility for exclusive, live and hands-on demonstrations of autonomous trucking technology and crash mitigation systems. In addition, several technology and equipment partners will be on-site, showcasing their latest innovations for firsthand examination.
Following the track visit, attendees will return to the hotel for lunch and the event’s closing segment, featuring two forward-looking presentations on emerging technologies shaping the future of the industry.

Established in 2023, The Loggers Technology Summit has quickly become a premier event for professionals across the logging and trucking sectors, delivering innovation-focused programming and hands-on learning experiences that prepare attendees to meet the industry’s most urgent challenges. In 2024, the Summit took place in two key locations, Augusta, GA and Montgomery, AL, to make the event accessible for loggers, foresters, and transportation professionals throughout the Southeast. These events brought together a dynamic mix of field experts, tech innovators, and industry leaders to explore the intersection of technology, safety, and sustainable operations.
Notable Highlights from the 2024 Summit
Autonomous Truck Demonstration: Auburn University’s semi-autonomous truck prototype was displayed on-site in Montgomery, giving attendees a rare firsthand look at the future of driverless hauling in forestry. At the 2025 Summit, attendees will now have the opportunity to experience and ride in these trucks at a private track facility.
Expert-Led Panels: Speakers like Scott Dane of the American Loggers Council and Todd Martin of the Southern Loggers Cooperative shared deep insights on shifting industry trends, economic pressures, and new market opportunities.
